As industry leaders in infection prevention, our goal is to ensure that our customers are protected against the threat of emerging disease outbreaks. The addition of the ASFv claim provides confidence that Prevail™ will be highly effective in the event of an outbreak in North America.
African Swine Fever has been the most significant disease outbreak within the global swine community in recent years. This viral infection has caused devastation throughout Asia and Europe, and an outbreak in North America would have extreme consequences, both in terms of direct costs of depopulating herds, and long-term economic impacts from limitations to trade. As there is no treatment option available, prevention, including rigorous cleaning and disinfection, is our only defense.
